The Medical Centre driveway is located 30 metres to the Mount Wellington side of the Calvary Hospital main entrance. Dr. Mackie’s consulting suite is on Lower Level 2 of the Medical Centre, which is at the driveway level and with immediate access into the consulting suite from the front entrance of the Medical Centre. Lift access is also available from within the main Calvary Hospital building.
Parking
Parking at all of Hobart’s medical centres and hospitals can be difficult, although the Calvary Hospital campus has some multistorey parking. Parking spaces have been allocated for Dr. Mackie's practice and general parking can be obtained in the on-site parking areas unless specifically marked as for other medical practices. On street parking in adjacent streets is also available. A patient drop-off area is provided immediately adjacent to the consulting suite.
3 patient parking spaces are rented and allocated to Dr Mackie's patients (attending consultations, not for inpatients). These are on the "middle ramp" of the car park; accessed by driving past the Calvary Medical Centre and immediately turning left.

Hobart Private Hospital
From January 2018 Dr. Mackie ceased elective operating sessions at Hobart Private Hospital. For more than 12 years a comprehensive on-call service was provided to all three major hospitals in Hobart. He elected to cease elective and on-call services at Hobart Private Hospital due to changes in HPH emergency department referral processes and administration support.
