Dr. Scott Mackie is a specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon, based in Hobart since 2005.

Dr Mackie provides a very broad range of orthopaedic services, with specific subspecialty interests in joint replacement surgery, post-trauma reconstructions and (through the Royal Hobart Hospital) children’s/paediatric orthopaedics.

 - including robotic assisted and computer navigated knee replacement

 - including computer navigated hip replacement

 - including the use of patient-specific customised positioning guides for shoulder replacement

Appointments for consultation of patients with new referrals can usually be made within 1 - 2 weeks. Urgent appointments may be able to arranged within days if appropriate information is forwarded to Dr. Mackie for evaluation (triage).
